A Quickie

Post, I mean.

I've been totally off the online grid for the last week it seems. I'm behind on everyone's posts and FB. But it's been totally worth it, since Janae is coming home on THURSDAY! Yes, THIS Thursday, as in two days from now. I'm so excited I can hardly stand it. I bring my car seat in tonight so she can do her car seat test, then I meet with the oxygen guys so they can set up her oxygen equipment and show me how to use it tomorrow morning. Then Thursday morning, we go pick her up. I'm stoked! She's been doing so well the last week. All of the sudden she just decided she wanted to be a big girl. She moved into her open crib Friday night, and then yesterday she was ready to do all of her feedings with the bottle. They removed her feeding tube this morning, and it's so wonderful to look at her face without all that tape (minus the tape needed to keep the nasal canula in). She's up to 5lbs 6.2oz and 17.4" long. I can't wait to get her home!

I have so much to do though. I was only going to get on the computer for five minutes, but it's now been an hour. *sighs* That's always the way it is. My house needs to be cleaned, laundry folded and I have some last minute things I need to get for her. You'd think that since I would have gotten all that done in the last 5.5 weeks she's been in this hospital, but that's not how I roll. Just call me Last Minute Cait.

I'll do another post this week with pictures. She's pretty much the cutest baby I've ever seen in my life. Really. One of my favorite things is when she throws her arms up when she's sleeping. Or when she smiles in her sleep. Basically, I love everything about her. I'm completely obsessed. And I'll be even more so when she's home. Let the games begin!
