She is making a name for herself in the NICU. Apparently my girl has some 'tude! When she is upset she let's everyone know. Not only does she cry, but she flails her little arms and stretches her little body out to it's fullest length. It's actually pretty darn cute, if you ask me. She's really making her nurse work, and they are having to use every trick in the book to soothe her. Janae is a huge fan of the binky. She can't hold it in herself yet, but she will go to town and suck on that thing for all she's worth if you hold it in for her. It's so cute to watch her little chubby cheeks go in and out and suck on her binky. When we feed her, we make sure to put the binky in her mouth so she starts associating sucking with eating. Those nurses are pretty darn smart. The binky takes up half of her little face, but it really calms her down. My aunt got me a package of the binkies that hospitals use, so I'm all set for when she gets home.
This morning I managed to remember to not only charge the camera, but to bring it. I know, right? Amazing. We got some pretty cute pictures, including our very first family photo. Here they are:
This is when we first got there. She's just chillin'! They had the warmer on her, and she loves the heat.
We get to hold her twice a day for 30 minutes, so Jared takes his turn in the morning and I take mine on our night visit. She doesn't like moving very much, and it seems less traumatic for her this way. Mostly the holding is for us, not for her. I'm sure she just loves to be under her warmer, sleepin' away and gets mad at her parents for messin' with her routine. Sorry Janae!
Close up of her tiny face.
LOVE it when she opens her eyes! There really isn't any color yet, but I love when she looks at us.
Such a good lookin' family. I've lost 26lbs since having her.. can you tell?
I love my girl!
