Curtains Complete!!

And I love how they turned out! Mom came over Monday afternoon and literally, we tore my whole front room apart. We laid out all the tables so she'd have room to measure and cut, we threw on the A&E version of Pride and Prejudice, and had a grand ol' time. It took her a few days to complete both panels, and it was nice to have the company while Jared was gone. There were also a few chocolate and McDonald's runs... us sewers have to keep ourselves fortified you know! Well, mom sewed and I sat around and controlled the tv and movies we watched. Aren't I so helpful?

The actual workspace. Gott love having big rooms!

The pleating process, which was the last step of the drapery making process.

The finished product! With sagging curtain rod and all. I love, love, LOVE them! Although, I definitely need to go get a new rod. It's a little anemic.

Here is a close-up of the fabric. Isn't it cute? I couldn't be happier with the way they turned out. Baby Girl's room is actually starting to look like her room. Now we just need a few more things, and of course, HER, then it will all be perfect.

Thanks so much Mom for taking a few days out of your life to get these done! They look great!

Wow...I know pleating isn't easy. I mean, I've just heard. I've never actually sewed anything in my life. They're very cute, though!
