Quarter of a Century

Is how old I turned on Saturday. And what a great day it was! I wanted it to be a low key birthday, so I went and got a pedicure and then we went out to lunch at The Cheesecake Factory. That place is so expensive, but sooooo good. I was finally able to get a piece of their Red Velvet Cheesecake and it was pretty dang good. Then we spent the rest of the night watching movies. It was just really relaxed and I spent it hanging out with my most favorite person in the world. We have such a good time being together, and I sometimes think we don't have those kinds of days often enough.

Sunday was my family party, where mom made my requested dinner and cake. She made these cute party hats (I'll post a picture later) for us all to wear so we could send a pic to my sister. Dinner was delicious and the cake was divine and company was the best ever!

Yesterday my SIL and super cute niece took me out to lunch. We went to our favorite place, Zuppa's, and B proceeded to eat most of my chips. But she's so dang cute I couldn't say no. Thank goodness I'm just the aunt! I can give her as many chips as I want and not have to worry about lessons and values and whatnot. Although, I'm pretty sure Alicia has some sneaky aunt tricks up her sleeve, especially since Jared taught B how to say "no". Oh, that uncle Jared...

Anyway, we've got a busy week ahead as Jared's family is coming in to town this week. We're taking his brother and sister up to Rexburg on Saturday and it should be a pretty fun road trip. Plus all the shopping and whatnot to get them ready to go! Jared has the week off of work and has been spending the last few days getting caught up on sleep and his "Honey Do" list (jealous...). SO excited for this week!

I actually found a recipe for red velvet cheesecake in a book I was looking through the other day. Sounds so yummy!!)

You should stop and visit on your way to rexburg on Saturday. We are on the way there, about 45 min. south of Rexburg. I know Colin would love to see Jared. It's proabably been 4 years since we have seen him.
My email address is samlovescolin@hotmail.com if you want to stop, email me and I will give you directions to our house.
