I can't tell you how awesome it is to have my very own veteran. I know that may sound weird, but I am EXTREMELY proud of Jared and the sacrifice that he made to serve his country for year over in Iraq. We were only married for four months before Jared left, and let me tell you.. it was hard! I was pretty much a wreck for the first three months, and he hadn't even left the states yet. He spent 9 months in Iraq serving at Camp Bucca guarding the most dangerous terrorists. The mission was pretty boring, Iraq was pretty hot.. but when all is said and done, Jared has his combat patch and I am a proud army wife. I am also extremely grateful for the other men and women who respond to the call of duty and leave their families, friends and homes to protect our nation. That includes past and present veterans! I love this country and all that it stands for.

We are so proud of Jared and you as well! I know that wasn't easy for you or him. I'm so thankful for your willingness to let him go and his desire to do so. I'm so thankful for our soldiers and their sacrafice. Our lives are better for them! Thanks!!
