I can't pump and keep my milk up. For some reason I have to have her feed from me to keep my milk up. The pump doesn't stimulate the milk. Don't know why? Also, if she has a hard time latching on because she was premie, my sister in law used the nipple shield to help. Just some thoughts if you want to breastfeed. All my kids were so different and it was not easy for me with any of them!

Good luck!Kelley Hauckhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01669458320718099991noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3045838908644625009.post-65890326625381154822010-12-06T11:02:00.097-06:002010-12-06T11:02:00.097-06:00Ok, my baby was BORN a pound and a half bigger tha...Ok, my baby was BORN a pound and a half bigger than that! What a teeny little thing you have! But she is on the charts, that's awesome!

About breastfeeding, it wasn't even an option for me not to breastfeed Arden. I was so ready and committed and prepared. And I still couldn't do it. It is HARD and emotional and confusing and painful. Although I will try again with my next one, I have learned that it is ok to cut yourself some slack. So cut yourself some!! You are doing a great job and I know how much of a rollercoaster it is. All they really need is food, shelter and LOVE!Reginahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01124989938773346155noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3045838908644625009.post-12332639251409630232010-12-06T08:42:48.803-06:002010-12-06T08:42:48.803-06:00There is NOTHING wrong with giving her formula! And you know what? He was totally OK. : ) You're doing a great job!Amy Jhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08005645902363448208noreply@blogger.com
